Five Books That Changed My Life

I love books. I love writing them (like the book my mom and I published together), I love reading them, and I love sharing them with you!

And as today is World Book Day, I want to share a few books that have changed my life:

1. When To Jump by Mike Lewis:
I was fortunate to have my story highlighted in this book and this
experience really showed me the power of storytelling. Along with my
story, there are several other accounts of people moving one step closer
to their dreams. If you are looking for inspiration to travel the
world, start a new career, or even make minor shifts on your current
path this book is for you.

2. You are a Badass at Making Money by Jen Sincero:
I didn’t even realize money mindset was a “thing” before leaving my
corporate job and starting my business. And boy, did I have (and still
do!) have some crazy stories and beliefs to work through. This book
taught me how to approach money mindset from a fun, compassionate, and
practical way. I bought this on Audible and enjoyed listening to this on
walks and commutes.

3. Building a Story Brand by Donald Miller:
OMG this book made brand messaging so much easier to understand. It’s
so helpful to have the brand script framework not only for my own work,
but also for my clients’. Although it’s not too different than a Hero’s
Journey or other brand messaging formulas, I really like how it’s very
applicable from a marketing stand-point.

4. Travels with Charley by John Steinbeck:
I have such a soft spot for this book. It’s words are comforting, the
journey is exciting (I lived vicariously) and Steinbeck’s style is hard
to beat. It’s simple, a little slow even, but it makes me appreciate
Creative Nonfiction so much more.

5. The Healthy Indian Food Cookbook by Akansha & Sarika Agrawal:
Yep, this book has changed my life is more ways than I could imagine.
If only I could summarize what I had learned through the research,
writing, and promotion of this book. This will be one to remember for
years to come <3.

This list is in no way comprehensive but I hope you enjoy these recommendations.

Tell me, what are your favorite books? Let me know in the comments!
